FI South America | 21-23 August 2018 São Paulo, Brazil

Increasing the number of natural and less processed and ultraprocessed documents is a reality proven by market intelligence companies. In a survey conducted by Euromonitor International in 2016, half of the respondents in 20 years had a breakfast with a “100% natural” inscription on the label. According to a consultancy, the volume of tons of sales in this category is an average rate of 3.9% per year up to 2021 – without regard to inflation.

Thinking of this new consumer, the 22nd edition of Food Ingredients South America (FiSA), consecrated as the main meeting point of the food ingredients industry, this year will be the Natural ingredients (Ni) pavilion, dedicated only to natural ingredients. “It will be an exclusive showcase for natural and organic ingredients for supplements, nutraceuticals and functional foods and beverages, which brings together the main products and suppliers of Latin America, in addition to the traditional Health ingredients (Hi), already known by the market and visitors to the event “Says FiSA manager Fernando Alonso. The fair took place between August 21 and 23 at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo.

FiSA has been in the market for 22 years and since its first edition it has been offering solutions in Health ingredients. Although Hi does not have a specific pavilion, it represents the health and welfare ingredients that exhibitors bring to the pavilion. The difference from Ni Pavilion is that natural ingredients do not contain chemical additives in their composition and are minimally processed.

The optimism could not be greater, since in 2017, all the spaces of the FiSA gathered more than 10 thousand qualified visitors in the city of São Paulo. Last year, 84% of visitors to the fair declared their participation in the purchase decision of their companies. Of the total audience, 15% were managers, 13% CEOs, presidents and vice presidents and 12% coordinators, executives or supervisors. Partners and owners added another 11%, reveals the organizer.
